ASSA 2022 Convention

We are excited to attend and present at the 2022 Actuarial Society of South Africa Convention. Our workshop, A Practical Guide to Data Science, will introduce delegates to the new types of risks resulting from data science with the use of practical examples. We provide ways to make sense of apparent ‘black box’ models; and ways to validate certain types of machine learning models. 

Our workshop will present participants with pre-run models; based on publicly available data; and provide hands-on examples to interpret these models. We will explore industry examples of ethics; professionalism and regulatory principles within the context of data science. 

We expect the Convention to be interactive with enhanced networking, virtual and in-person exhibition hall engagement, thought leadership, and in-person social functions. To learn more about the Convention, click here.
